What is Reiki, Reiki is a Japanese word for Universal Life Force Energy, which is an energy that surrounds us all and our bodies draw it in through the chakras when we need healing. A person who has been attuned to Reiki by attending a Reiki course is permanently connected to this source of energy. It comes in through their head and out through the palms of their hands.
When someone is in need of healing and a Reiki Channel is there (a person attuned to Reiki) the person in need of healing will draw the energy through the Reiki channel and into their body. They are not drawing that persons own energy into their body, it is a completely separate energy source that a Reiki person is attuned to.
The added benefit of being the person channelling or giving the Reiki to another person is that they receive it too at the same time as the person they are giving it to. It’s important that you know how real this is as I have tested it and tested it in so many ways that I know it is very real and it has a method to the way it works and it does not matter what anyone feels, Reiki will always do something and it will be for the higher good for all involved.
To give you an example of Reiki being received by the Reiki channel at the same time as the person receiving the Reiki, I once had a very bad broken leg. They had to remove my knee cap to insert a rod through the middle of my leg and rebuild the bone back around it. As soon as I was able, I was giving and receiving Reiki at the Reiki centre. This was when I was fairly new to Reiki and was discovering more and more about it, the more I used it. Whenever I gave anyone Reiki, my knee would get incredibly hot and that is how Reiki showed me it was working on me at the same time as the person I was giving Reiki to.
There are always going to be many people who are sceptical of something like Reiki and that is fine. I consider myself to be a person of science, if you can see it and feel then it is real. Reiki will show itself to you and you will see it in some way or another and I urge you to read the story of the old man across the road and his wife. It is a classic story of how someone who did not believe in a spiritual world, yet came with his wife to learn reiki with her and walked up to me 6 months later and said, now I believe. I use to open my home to all my Reiki students at a healing centre I had in a town called Mandurah. It was a day when they could get together and give and receive reiki from one another and share their journey. When I first met him and suggested he learn with his wife who was suffering from cystic fibrosis, he clearly told me in no uncertain terms that when you die you turn to dust and that is that.
When he came up to me that day, he had been giving Reiki to another person and he felt a hand placed on his shoulder, he could feel each finger and the weight of the hand but when he turned to look to see who was there, there was nothing. The beautiful thing about this event is, that I was the person who had taught him Reiki did not need to prove anything to him. Reiki shows itself in one way or another and once you have that experience, your whole world opens up.
So Reiki is for healing but that is just a by-product of the spiritual and personal growth we experience once we become attuned to the Reiki energy. I have so many more stories like this and will now start to document them in order to share the experiences Reiki has given me.
