Reiki 1 the First Degree of Reiki this is the first course in Reiki and is where everyone must start from. It involves receiving 4 attunements over a 2 day period. With each attunement, we introduce the person to higher levels of energy each time.
The days starts with an introduction to Reiki and the history of Reiki, who found it, where it came from and how it was developed. From there you will receive the first attunement. This is a process of attuning you to the Reiki energy, much like a radio being tuned to a particulars station. Once we have completed that process you will be given instructions on how to apply the Reiki to another person, you can call it a Reiki Treatment or Healing or some call it a Reiki Massage.
When you treat someone with Reiki you apply it to various positions of the body spending a set amount of time over each area. this process is designed to ensure the entire body and major organs receive a sufficient amount of Reiki. The time spent on each position is 3 minutes and we have special music with chimes to let you know when to move on. But the Reiki energy will let you know when it’s time to move, you will feel it and there is a very special story and feeling it.
After lunch, you will receive your second attunement and we again have a session of giving and receiving Reiki. The purpose of giving each other Reiki is to allow the Reiki to show itself to both the person receiving Reiki and the one giving it. Each session is followed by a feedback forum where you share with each other what you felt and experienced. It is important for you to feel 100% confident that the Reiki energy is there and flowing and there are telltale signs that each person will identify and share. Tingling fingers and heat are the most common too but there are many other sensations that Reiki gives.
At the end of the first day, you will have received 2 attunements and given and received at least one full Reiki Treatment so you will be feeling great. The second day is a repeat of the first day with 2 more attunement and 2 more Reiki Treatments.
The day ends with a final instruction on Reiki with advanced ways to use the energy and an introduction to the Second Degree of Reiki where we introduce the symbols to Reiki and show you how to use it for distant healing. You will also receive a certificate for the course and full course notes on everything we covered.
