How Does Reiki Work when healing a person. Reiki heals by working on both levels of a disease or injury. If you have a spiritual mindset then you will understand that it is our mind that manifests everything in this world for us to learn and grow from. That might be a wealthy life because our soul needs t experience being rich and learn and grow from the lessons learnt whilst here on earth. Then there are those that have to experience life in other ways and we manifest our world and body in accordance with the lessons we need to experience in this lifetime.

It is at this higher level, you might consider it the mental level of life, that Reiki heals. By healing the emotional aspect of whatever is affecting our lives at the time, the body can then direct all the healing powers to the physical part of the body that has been affected. This then results in a faster healing time.

As an example, if a person has the flu, that person has manifested the flu within their body for whatever reason. As Reiki Healers, we do not need to be concerned with the reasons the person has manifested the disease, we just need to put our hands on the person and let the Reiki do its work. What happens is that the Reiki works on the emotional or mental aspect of the disease and heals that part first. Once that part has been healed, the person receiving the healing will get over the flu much faster than if they had not received the healing.

A better example would be to apply this theory to a person who has been in an accident of some sort. There are 2 effects that are created in any major type of accident, physical injury and trauma. If we treat this person with Reiki, the Reiki will work on the trauma first and by healing the trauma the person’s body is then left to direct all their healing energy to the physical injuries this resulting in a faster recovery time.

I have been through this with a leg that was broken into 16 pieces and I can assure you the trauma left from just seeing my leg in such a position was enough to put me into an immediate state of shock. I was assured by the doctors that I would be on crutches for 6 months and would not be participating in any sporting activities what so ever for the foreseeable future. As soon as I was able, I got myself to the Reiki Centre as many times a week as possible and not only received Reiki but spent many hours giving Reiki. Within 3 months I was working on the foreshore of South Perth hiring out surf cats, sprinting on the sand, sailing and going out on the water to right capsized boats.

I am not big on saying Reiki was in any way responsible for my fast healing. It’s just too hard to prove and who needs to. That’s my thoughts on the matter, the same goes if I perform Reiki healing on someone and I do not seek any credit for myself as I am simply a channel for the Reiki. What I do though is that if ever anyone wants or needs Reiki, I am there to give it freely but I am unattached to the outcome of the healing. There are reasons for this as I will explain next.

Reiki operates to some very specific rules as follows.

Reiki Brings to Light

• By this statement, I mean that Reiki will make you are the person you are healing aware of something that needs to be brought out. You would be giving someone healing and they complain of a stomach cramp either during the healing or after the Reiki session. They go to the doctor the next day and are diagnosed with a stomach ulcer. This is where we need to keep in mind we need the doctors to heal the physical body whilst the Reiki heals the emotional aspect of the person.

Reiki Brings to Order that Which is Not

• Reiki does not just work on our physical being, it works on our lives as well and if something in our lives is not in order or right for us, you might just find it changes. As an example of this, there was once a time in my life just before I was attuned to Reiki where I was working as a sales rep and just cruising through life with no purpose. All of a sudden, I attend my first Reiki class and one week later I am lying in hospital with a shattered leg, I have had a very profound near-death experience, I have lost my job and my Mum has come to the hospital with a book for me called hands of light by Barberra Anne Brennan and within this book is a drawing of what she sees in her mind in operating theatres and when she is healing. This drawing shows Golden Beings of light standing around a person being healed and giving that person golden energy. During my operation, I opened my eyes and I was wide awake in a room lying on a table looking up at a being that can only be described as 8 foot tall and glowing gold. There was one at my head and 2 others on either side of me. I looked at the one above my head and said ” Your for real arent you?” He nodded and with that I woke up. So even though I am broken and can’t walk, most people would think that is a bad thing. But if it was not for those events, I would not have been able to devote many years to studying Reiki and I would not have been able to help hundreds of other people start this most amazing journey and I would not have the knowledge of these golden beings of light that I carry with me today. And I would not have 100% faith that there is far more to this world and our lives than meets the eye. The bit of pain and suffering I went through brought my life in order and showed me things that I can pass on to others who might need the knowledge or support.
